It is the philosophy of Cooper, Spong & Davis that each and every client deserves a high level of attention and the most
competent legal service available.
In order to provide these high quality services to our clients we strive to hire and retain only the most qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated attorneys and staff. The firm is an equal opportunity employer offering employment without regard to race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, disability, handicap, sexual orientation, ancestry or marital or parental status. Cooper, Spong & Davis complies with all federal, state, and local laws prohibiting discrimination.
The firm utilizes a Summer Associate Program to acquaint first and second-year law students to the day-to-day practice of
law. In addition to legal research and writing, summer associates assist with discovery and drafting of pleadings and memoranda, and often attend and assist with client meetings, hearings, depositions, trials,
and real estate closings.
Assignments are monitored by a supervising attorney and every effort is made to give each summer associate substantial exposure to as many areas of practice as possible. Our Summer Associate Program is an important tool in our recruiting of future associate attorneys. Participants in the program who exhibit the qualities necessary to fulfil the firm’s philosophy will be considered to fill any available associate positions after graduation.
Law students interested in our Summer Associate Program should complete a contact form and provide a resumé and transcript for
review.
In addition to a candidate’s academic achievements, consideration is also given to extra-curricular activities, community involvement, work experience, and communication skills. Interviews are conducted in our offices and every effort is made to accommodate a candidate’s schedule.
